Do You Know Our Story?
It all started with Guy Wilson and the dust storm of ‘77, a small perfectly timed ad in the Bakersfield Californian, and a significant dose of God’s provision and providence! Out of this unique beginning, Wilson’s Roofing was born, and Guy was in business, determined to create a legacy his family could be proud of. After three decades of blood, sweat, and tears in the Bakersfield roofing industry, Guy was ready to enjoy retirement and watch his grandchildren grow. In 2006, he sold the roofing company to his two sons, Jason and Justin, who had been working alongside him since their teenage years. Together, they managed Wilson Brothers Roofing for the next 14 years, relishing the camaraderie and daily grind of life in the construction sector. They built a dedicated team of crew members, including our now general manager, Brian Bowman, and lead foreman, Mario Perez, both of whom have been integral to the company for over 30 years! In 2020, Jason decided it was time to leave the business and embark on a new adventure with his family in Texas. Justin welcomed his wife, Kati, to help run the bustling office, and together they have worked hard to restructure and streamline operations to enhance our roofing solutions. In 2021, their oldest son, Christian, joined the WBR team, eager to apply his efforts as a full-time college student earning his business degree. Christian graduated from Grand Canyon University with a degree in business in 2024 and has since taken on sales and customer service responsibilities. Here we are, three generations into this incredible family business that has become our legacy. We are immensely grateful for our many loyal customers, our hardworking crew and management staff with unbeatable expertise, and a community we are proud to have served with our quality Bakersfield roofing for the last 45 years! Growing With Our Community
Through the 1980s and 1990s, our Bakersfield roofing company grew steadily, expanding from residential re-roofing projects to commercial roofing, storm damage repair, and custom roofing solutions. As word spread, so did our reach — but we never lost sight of the values Guy built the company on: quality, honesty, and community.
Guy personally trained every new team member, passing on decades of hands-on experience and instilling a culture of pride in workmanship that still defines our roofing solutions today.
A Family Tradition
In the early 2000s, the company entered its next chapter as Guy began preparing the next generation, his sons Jason and Justin, to take the lead in the Bakersfield roofing industry. While he may have stepped back from day-to-day operations, his vision and standards remain the backbone of the roofing company.
Today, Justin and the Wilson Family continue to be a family-owned and operated business, proud to carry on Guy’s legacy. We’ve embraced modern roofing technologies, eco-friendly materials, and industry innovations — all while staying true to the craftsmanship and customer-first approach that got us here, providing top-notch roofing solutions.
